The turning lever is large and really easy to turn. Perfect for larger hands or those with arthritis. And the blades are very sharp, but are hidden inside the opener. Next, the cutting discs are turned sideways to allow for a smoother, safer cut along the side of the can, instead of from the top. This opener actually cuts the top off the can forming a sort of lid.
